The south
The south is more touristic then the north, but it is also beautiful. You can visit it in one day leaving the house early in the morning.
We recommend four places to see (click the pictures to see where they are).
Cofete

One of the best beaches in Spain and Europe, very impressive. It is normally very strong and hard. Big waves, and strong wind. There is a cemetery just in the beach. Drive carefully!

There is a mysterious house ("Winter house") that you can visit, it has a interesting story.

Playa Sotavento

It is in the east side of Fuerteventura. It is a long sandy beach, calm, without waves and with some little sand islands. The wind is normally hard. Each year an international windsurfing competition takes place on this site.

Betancuria & Viewpoint

On the road to Betancuria you can find a viewpoint where you can see much of the island. Betancuria is the oldest town in Fuerteventura, it is really beautiful and a good place to have lunch.
